Hello 👋
I’ve moved the newsletter back to Substack this week.
I did this because:
I love talking about ideas with you folks, and I want to reduce the friction involved (i.e. my overflowing inbox) in doing that. Substack offers community features like commenting.
I was away from Substack for about six months, and the brand has done a great job of championing writers and serving its users in that time. I applaud that commitment and their good work.
Some recent conversations have shifted my views on venture-backed companies, so it doesn’t feel right to stay away from Substack based on my previous objections to this way of doing business.
In other news, I have lots of exciting stuff on the horizon for 2021. Hints in my tweet below. Stay tuned for more details!
Thanks for reading.

I recently learned that logging out of Twitter instantly deletes all your drafts—it was not a happy lesson. It’s super handy for creating threads.
